How to Spend Souls in Anime Soulborn

Souls are the only currency that matters on day one of Anime Soulborn. You harvest them from NPC packs, then the shop, gates, and evolve UI all ask for the same pile. This page is the spend order. Confirm you are in [RELEASE] Anime Soulborn by X Studio G2, place ID 132005092093329. Public launch was 4 September 2026 at 5:00 PM EST. The universe still sits around 15k visits on a 10-player incremental. That is a small economy. Waste is expensive.

The rule in one line

Spend souls on the thing that raises souls per minute next. Everything else waits.

That sounds obvious. Launch-week shops are built to make it feel optional. Glowing mounts, titles, and trails sit next to the actual gate. If the tooltip does not mention souls, damage, XP, tickets, or a new island, it is a screenshot tax.

Spend order (F2P default)

1. The next island / gate. If a door quotes a soul price and the dummy behind it dies in a few pet cycles, pay it. Travel tax is cheaper than camping a dead pack. How to play covers when you are actually ready to leave the cyan plate.
2. A hero evolve node that lists a percent. Not a haircut. Read how to evolve your hero before you tap. If the node is grey because of a level gate, farm XP or consider 2x XP (219 Robux) only when that node is the bottleneck right now.
3. Gacha tickets, if a slot is empty. Pets print the account. An empty slot is worse than a “wrong” rarity. How to get pets and the pets tier list decide whether the ticket is a roll or a trap.
4. Potions that match the pack you are standing in. Soul / luck / XP / damage. Pop them in a dense pack, never in the lobby. Details on items.
5. A mount, last. Only when walking between packs wastes more time than killing them. How to get mounts and the mounts roster explain the delay.

If you reverse this list, you will own a dragon and a dead farm.

What souls are not for (yet)

• Trails, explosions, chat tags, lobby emotes.
• A second mount when the first one already covers the island.
• Shop cards with a Robux tag pretending to be a soul bargain. Read both prices. The game pass planner is for Robux. This page is for souls.
• Crafting a cosmetic when the bench wants your only evolve stone.

Robux versus souls

A pass compresses time. It does not replace this order. Auto System (169) lets you stand in the pack without tapping. +1 Gacha Roll (169) buys attempts. Fast Soul (389) and +50% Souls (509) tax-cut harvest. None of them tell you to buy a jacket. If you will spend Robux at all, buy one pass from the planner, then return to a pack for twenty minutes before you open Shop again.

F2P players skip the Robux line entirely. The F2P checklist is the same order as this page with the passes stripped out.

A worked example

You have 80k souls. The next gate is 50k. A shiny mount is 70k. A hero node lists +8% damage for 25k. Pet slots are full.

Pay the gate. The leftover 30k can hit the node if the tooltip is real. The mount waits. You just bought a denser pack, which prints the mount later for free in time. That is how incremental sims work. Curiosity is the tax.

If the gate dummy does not die after you walk through, you left early. Walk back. Souls spent on a wall are worse than souls spent on a costume, because at least the costume looks like a mistake you can screenshot.

After you spend

Stand in the new pack. Count souls per minute against the previous pack. If the number did not move, you bought vanity. Log it. The next spend is pets or a different node, not a second mount to “fix” the first.

Servers hold 10 players. Progression is personal. A crowded mesa is lag, not a discount. If the instance is broken, rejoin. Your pile is on the account.

When a named world or limited shop appears, events and release notes get the row. Until a timer is on this HUD, there is no event to dump souls into.
