How to Get Pets in Anime Soulborn

Pets are the damage dealers in Anime Soulborn. You stand in an NPC pack; they swing; souls appear. The shop is built around that fact: Fast Pet Attack, 2x Pet Sword, Fast Roll, and +1 Gacha Roll. Empty slots feel like a broken game. They are not. This page is how to get the first loadout and how to spend extra tickets without feeding a dead banner. Rankings live on the pets tier list. The system reference lives on pets. Farm routing lives on how to harvest souls.

Minute one: open the pet menu

As soon as the HUD loads on the cyan island, open Pets. Count the glowing slots. That number is your cap until a level, VIP tooltip, or patch says otherwise. Fill every slot before you chase a secret silhouette from a thumbnail.

If the tutorial dumped tickets or a free common into your inventory, roll or equip immediately. Equip Best is correct on a brand-new account. Glance at rarities after it runs. If it parked a pretty C over a boring A, swap by hand and lock the A. Locks exist so the next auto-equip cannot eat your only good swing.

Where pets actually come from

Expect this mix, because every incremental anime sim on Roblox uses it and Soulborn’s pass board already names the pieces:

• Tutorial / mission chests — first tickets. Spend them on the standard banner unless a launch limited is clearly live and stronger.
• Soul shop tickets — buy these after the next island gate, not before. Souls that open a denser pack beat souls that buy a maybe-rare.
• Codes — when X Studio G2 actually posts one. None are confirmed on this wiki at launch week. Do not redeem AS, Belly, or o1k; those belong to Anime Souls.
• Robux — +1 Gacha Roll at 169 adds an attempt. Fast Roll at 329 skips the animation. Attempts beat skip until you are rolling in bulk.
• Fuse / craft — duplicates into a rarity jump. Do not fuse your first high rarity.
• Index or achievement — some sims grant a pet after you harvest enough unique NPCs. If Soulborn has that button, it will sit in the pet index, not in a YouTube comment.

There is no verified secret drop table with HUD names yet. Key art can look like anyone. We will add a row when a secret is actually in the index — see release notes and the events tracker if a limited banner appears.

How to roll without tilting

1. Confirm you are on the pet banner, not a mount or cosmetic banner that shares a ticket icon.
2. Dump tutorial tickets in one sitting so you can Equip Best once.
3. If you cannot see a pity meter, assume there is none. Stop on a schedule (ten pulls, then farm) not on a feeling.
4. Lock anything that is a rarity jump.
5. Walk to a pack and measure kill time. If the pack dies faster, you are done rolling for the session.
6. If nothing changed, you rolled a cosmetic. Stop. More tickets will not fix a targeting problem — plant in a denser pack instead.

Fast Roll does not add a pet. Buying it because the animation is long is a luxury. The game pass planner puts it below extra attempts on purpose.

Tickets versus souls versus Robux

Spend souls on gates and hero evolve first. Spend tickets on the live pet banner. Spend Robux only after you can name the bottleneck: empty slots, slow swings, or not enough attempts.

F2P players should never open Shop for pets until the F2P checklist is green. A filled common team on a dense pack beats a single paid rare you cannot copy.

Fusing without bricking the account

Fuse when the preview is a guaranteed rarity jump or you already have a locked A/S team and the dupe is C/B fodder. Do not fuse your only Epic into a “maybe Legendary” if the UI is vague. Launch-week fuse menus get patched. Screenshot, farm ten minutes, then decide.

Selling pets for souls is the same rule: only duplicates below your fielded rarity, and only if the sell value actually pays a gate. Do not sell your last A to afford a mount.

Pets in the field

Two passes name the combat stats: Fast Pet Attack (swing speed) and 2x Pet Sword (hit size). Aura pets want you in the middle of a pack. Single-target pets want you facing the tankiest dummy so they do not wander. You still need to be in range. Pets leash. If you mount around the island, they stop printing. Plant, then farm.

Auto System (169) is not a pet buff. It automates your tap. Pets still need to be equipped and standing in the dummy cluster. Read how to play if you keep jogging while they idle.

What not to do

• Do not pay a reseller for a “Buu pet” file. That is how accounts get stolen.
• Do not inject a GUI that promises all secrets. Secrets are server-side. See scripts for why those menus are bait.
• Do not copy a YouTuber’s ten-pull from a different anime sim.
• Do not roll during a harvest potion. Potions print souls. Gacha can wait ninety seconds.
